Tranquility because on a very popular, noisy and bustling island, this traditional part of Messaria is an oasis of peace and quiet disturbed only by the cries of children playing in the street and the church bells on Sunday morning. (ie. no over flights, traffic, noise pollution or continuous passage associated with other popular towns). Functionality because the flat is situated only 6-10 min by foot from the local bakery, open markets for fresh fish, supermarkets, restaurants, bus stops and rental agencies. Mesaria is the main communications hub linking the island's capital Fira (10min) with the airport (8min) & seaport (20min) and the north with the south of the island. Every part of the island is easily accessible by excellent public local transport for a very reasonable cost with 3 buses per hour 24/24. The island's only shallow family beach Monolithos (safe for children, seniors etc) and Kamari beach are only a 10min bus ride away (1.60e)
