“Not a tranquil relaxing stay...”

We booked this property in good faith and initially we were very happy with the accommodation. However after 4 days the building work on the new hotel next door began.
We were awoken each morning around 7.30 am to heavy lorries arriving and a large Cat drilling machine hammering into rocks. The bedrooms are at the back of the apartment and the noise echoed through the building.
We complained to Shortlets Malta who replied that most of their accommodation is near building works in Malta and they had no alternative accommodation to offer to us.
So we had 3 days of total misery, we were unable to use the hot tub or even sit out on the balcony?

We have requested compensation, but so far this has not yet been received.

Please do not book this accommodation as the new hotel that is being built next door will not be complete until early 2019 - this information should have been given to us and we would certainly not have booked this place, Margaret Murray
