The cottage is just a few steps away from the magnificent Atlantic ocean, full of energy and beauty, both summer and winter. It is located at the south coast of Iceland by the North-Atlantic ocean. It is in the quiet and historic village Eyrarbakki which is a historical fishing village. The nature around Eyrarbakki is extraordinary. The bird reservation Flói is within a walking distance, and the sky is filled with the sounds of the variety of birds. During the endless light of summer with its breathtaking sunsets, and northern lights during winter, everywhere you look a new experience. And the fragrant air and the roaring sea work together to clear your mind. In the village there is a historical Folk Museum called Húsið or The House. The exhibitions give you a look into Icelandic history, and the charm of rural life in Eyrarbakki in bygone days.
