This quality self-catering unit is situated in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate – a mere 40 min. travel to the Kruger Park’s Orpen Gate. Do day-trips and come home to your luxurious accommodation.
Our well trained housekeeper is at your service. Bedrooms consist of four bedrooms [two double beds] and two twin beds – bedrooms en-suite and/or sharing. Bedrooms fitted with quality beds, linen, duvets, towels and block-out curtains. Rooms fitted with air conditioners, insect repellent devices and an additional vanity basin with shaver plug. The house and bedrooms all overlook the splash pool, bush and fire-pit. The unit is fitted with quality cutlery and crockery, fridge/freezer, bar fridge, ice-making machine, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, dishwasher as well as full satellite [DSTV]. Open plan lounge area incl. kitchen, dining room, TV area and guest toilet. Our birdlife consist of 170+ species. Various wildlife [incl. leopards] will either pay you a visit or can be found on the road or at the two dams - elevated bird hides make for good photography, sun downers or picnics. Hoedspruit & Kruger Park are malaria areas especially in the summer months. Please take precaution [lotions and other repellents].
Restaurants, chemist, liquor shop, Pick & Pay, butchery, curio & clothing shops are 500m from the estate. ON THE ESTATE you may drive on the various game drive routes, view dams with elevated bird hides. Roaming freely are impala, kudu, zebra, giraffe, tsetsebe, warthog, eland, wildebeest, waterbuck [to name a few] and 170+ bird species. We encounter hyena, leopard, wild dogs and jackal visiting. WILDLIFE ACTIVITIES: Cheetah Project, Mholoholo Endangered Species Centre, African Summer Spa, Mapusha Weaving, Swadini Snake Park, Kapama elephant back safaris and day/evening trips, hot air ballooning, Jessica the hippo, the silk farm and much more! PANORAMA ROUTE: Three Rondavels, Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window, World's View, The Pinnacle, Lisbon and Berlin Falls/Graskop Gorge - all within a 1.5 hr day-trip from the Estate. Lots of small gift shops and restaurants on the way. FISHING & BOATING on the Klaserie Dam. Blydepoort dam offers game viewing excursions, white river rafting on Blyde River or in Olifants gorge [Abel Erasmus Pass]; game view cruise on a sundowner's boat cruising the Olifants River. GOLF: Hoedspruit Drakensig Club [9-hole] overlooks Drakensberg Mountains. Hans Merensky Course [18-hole] is on the edge of Kruger Park where animals have the right of way.
From Johannesburg/Pretoria: Take the highway towards Witbank/Middelburg, continue on the N4 in the Nelspruit direction, and take the Belfast off-ramp, continue past Dullstroom, Lydenburg and Ohrigstad, you will then reach Hoedspruit. Drive through the town until you go over the railway bridge and turn right at the 4-way stop intersection and then first left. You will drive past the Fig Tree Centre on your right, carry straight on towards entrance
