The barn is spread over three floors. The barn doors open to a 100m² living area with kitchen and dining area, a middle section with comfortable sofas, a rotating logburner, tv and the lower area overlooking the valley and opening up to a terrace. There are three bedrooms, two of which with en-suite shower facilities and one with walk-in shower and bath. There is a further 4th bathroom with large bath. Outside a spacious enclosed garden and terraces facing south and west. The barn is located in Marcillac, a very small hamlet 4km from Mur de Barrez where you'll find all amenities including the weekly market, restaurants, bakery, butchers, supermarket, pharmacy. A very child friendly swimming pool is located in Brommat, 3km from Marcillac. There are two lakes within half and hour's drive, suitable for swimming. There are many outdoor activities available, most of them within half an hour from Marcillac. Our nearest bigger town is Aurillac, about 40 minutes by car and in just under an hour you can be in Le Lioran for skiing, mountainbiking or walking. Culturally this area is steeped in history going back to Roman times.

A beautiful area, rich in heritage, once upon a time part of the fiefdom of Monaco. Rugged, green and breathtaking with walking and cycling routes to discover. Swimming pool at 3km, lakes for swimming less than half an hour's drive. Skiing in Le Lioran, canoeing on the Lot river. There are some great restaurants nearby and the produce, local to this area is known throughout the country.
